2019 Hyundai Veloster: The Hatchback that Combines Comfort with Performance

The Veloster is Hyundai’s answer to your needs for a ride that incorporates fun, entertainment and purpose without compromise on performance. Though Hyundai managed to pack all of it into the just one single 2.0 Base trim, there are four more trims such as the 2.0 Premium, Turbo R-Spec, Turbo and Turbo Ultimate that load on more and more features. Then there is the Veloster-n, which adds on some sport charged performance that is now making its way into line ups at Petaluma Hyundai dealers in the vicinity. Graceful Exteriors

The excitement of the Veloster starts from the graceful exteriors and a unique wavy form along the sides that relays refreshing change and subtle refinement and helps boost the aerodynamics for better performance. The Veloster comes as a 3-door hatchback breaking out of the conventional mold. The front fascia features Projector Headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights, Automatic Headlight Control and High Beam Control. The Turbo R-Spec, Turbo and Turbo Ultimate feature LED headlights and rear LED taillights. A wide sunroof is available on the Premium, Turbo and Ultimate, with the highest trim also sporting a black tow-tone roof.

Premium Interiors

The interiors of the Veloster are appointed with premium materials and inserts. Seating materials start from Premium Cloth to getting leather bolsters in the Premium and Turbo and Leather on the Turbo Ultimate. The R-Spec get some custom seating threads. All Veloster trims come with 6-way driver’s seat adjustments with height adjustment as well. Power lumbar support for the driver’s seats is standard on the Turbo and Turbo Ultimate. 60/40 split fold down seats are standard across the trims. On the comforts side, Airconditioning is standard while Automatic temperature control with auto defogging is present from the Premium, Turbo and Ultimate. Conveniently, Steering mounted Bluetooth, Audio and Cruise Controls are standard with Smart Cruise Control present on the Ultimate. This gives you the option to drive in comfort and get the best performance as well.

Responsive Infotainment

A 7-inch on the base model and 8-inch color touchscreen on the rest is the center point of infotainment on the Veloster. The Ultimate comes ready with navigation. Going in for any trim other than the base will give you an 8-speker Infinity Audio System with subwoofer and external amplifier for some superb entertainment. The Premium and Ultimate trims come with a Qi compatible wireless charging pad. The Ultimate also gives you a Heads-up display.

Engine Performance

There are two engine types offered with Veloster. The 2.0 Liter IL-4 that delivers 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque is fit on the first two trims, the Veloster and Premium. The higher trims all get a 201 horsepower 1.6L IL4 Turbo engine that churns out 195 lb-ft of torque. The drive train is basically a FWD type which encompasses a 6-speed manual transmission on the base Veloster, the R-Spec and Ultimate and a 6-speed Automatic on the Premium.
