# 1. THE CITY DUBROVNIK
Of course, we start this little top with the most famous city in the country, Dubrovnik which, contrary to what one might think, is not the capital of the country! # 2. THE PLITVICE LAKES NATIONAL PARK
The second most popular destination in the country, the Plitvice lakes seem straight out of fantastic and magical worlds. The contrast between lush vegetation and the color of the water amazes visitors, who come in numbers every year to admire the beauty of nature. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the park includes a succession of sixteen lakes that flow into each other by magnificent waterfalls. Many wooden pontoons have been installed to allow visitors to get closer to these wonders without denaturing the place.
# 3. THE ELAPHITE ISLANDS
And yes, Croatia is home to well over 1000 islands in the Mediterranean! So if you want to visit some of them, we strongly advise you to choose the archipelago of the Elaphiti Islands composed of six islands as beautiful as the others and near Dubrovnik. The water is incredibly clear and the nature quite wild, many hiking trails are possible, leading to beautiful beaches and coves.
# 4. THE CITY PULA
We leave the vicinity of Dubrovnik to go to the city of Pula, which will also charm you. Combining modernity and vestiges of the past, Pula is attractive both for its activity and its architecture with very Italian inspirations. Its main attraction is its amphitheater, built in Roman times and still very well preserved today. Its city center and port are also very pleasant to visit and the city is home to many cultural events.
